Worship
The prevalence of denominationalism
throughout the world is vast. Many people think that it is just fine
to worship God the way they want and keeping only those ordinances
they believe to be important (or in some cases even entertaining).
Some say “it is what is in the heart that is important”
and this is true because the heart of man is not pure and very much
prone to error.
Secondly, obedience
precedes any heartfelt acts of worship. It is important to recognize
that God’s word is self-sufficient, not requiring any additions,
subtractions, or modifications by men. To make such changes, presumably
in the interest of sincere worship, is to disobey God by not following
his word explicitly. This is called “will-worship” or
“I ‘will’ worship the way ‘I’ think
is best.” This ‘works for me’ kind of attitude will
only bring condemnation. Such is also a gross lacking in the fear
of God.
The apostles spent
the rest of their years not only convincing the Jews that the Law
of Moses was not binding in the new covenant but also correcting various
aspects of worship in the church. There is only one doctrine. God
is not an author of confusion or division, nor does he leave it to
us to decide how to worship him. We should always be diligent in keeping
the 1st century church in tact and follow what God has authorized
for worship being careful to distinguish between aids and additions,
laws and expediencies, essentials and non-essentials, the gospel and
the law of Moses, the church and denominationalism.
God doesn't want anyone
to perish but clearly says there will be some that will. You have
to decide what you are going to believe and how you are going to support
what you believe. You are encouraged to read two very important articles

and Exposing Religious Error and Warnings
Against False Doctrines and compare what is going in your spiritual
quest with what God says to do.
The subject of worship
is one which requires a person serious about their salvation to consider
since it shapes their ongoing belief system. God considers worship
so serious that worshipping improperly can make ones soul unredeemable.
